Light breaks the bones of the dying day, as shadows claw at the edge of the sun.

Here in the stillness, where breath has run dry, the whisper of darkness begins its slow song.

Yet light, fierce and stubborn, cleaves through the stone, bleeding in colors that flicker and die.

Death, a cold keeper, gathers them home, but cannot dim the flame in the sky.

Oh, light that lingers in the grave’s cold throat, fury that dances in the earth’s deep fold— rise, rise again, though the flesh may rot, for the heart of the world will never grow cold.

In the eyes of the dead, light still trembles awake, a last kiss of fire before the final break.

This piece blends the stark realism of a human skull with geometric abstraction, creating a compelling juxtaposition of organic and structured elements. The right side of the piece features a detailed, anatomically accurate depiction of the skull, while the left side breaks it down into a grid of geometric shapes, emphasizing color blocks and sharp lines. The muted earth tones on one side contrast with the bold red background on the other, representing a fusion of life and death, nature and modernism.

The style suggests influence from movements like Bauhaus or Cubism, where form is often deconstructed into simplified shapes, yet still conveys a deeper meaning about the subject. The choice to split the skull between organic realism and abstraction may symbolize the duality of human existence—rationality and emotion, life and death, or the balance between structure and chaos. It’s an engaging piece that invites the viewer to contemplate the intersection of human mortality with modernist ideals.
